About
The Forest Carbon Index (FCI) is the product of a yearlong effort by a team of researchers to model and analyze the global
distribution of forest carbon resources. The FCI came out of collaboration among Resources for the Future (RFF), Climate Advisers,
and the InternationalInstitute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), with website design by Blue Raster.
The summary for policymakers and investors was authored by Nigel Purvis and Adrian Deveny. The Forest Carbon Index project was directed by Nigel Purvis.
Adrian Deveny was the lead author and principal researcher.
Janet Nackoney conducted the spatial modeling and analyses, and created the cartographic results.
Mykola Gusti, Ray Kopp, Erin Myers Madeira, Andrew Stevenson, Georg Kindermann, Molly Macauley, and Michael Obersteiner were coauthors.
